FUNCTION OVERVEW:


In this role, you will have the principal responsibility for 3rd shift processes and performance and own shift metrics around Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance and production objectives in the department. You also will be responsible for all labor, payroll, hourly evaluation, and employee issue resolution activities within your department. You will be responsible to support all lean activities, 5S initiatives, and ensure standard work is being performed daily in your area/shift.¬  In addition, you will be assigned additional projects in your area of responsibility as well as support projects that are led by others in your department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead your area to achieve safety, quality, and cost targets

  • Meet financial and productivity goals

  • Conduct audits in your area of responsibility for 5S, quality, and standardized work

  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.

  • Drive¬ Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and daily performance on the shift

  • Oversee and audit KRONOS for hourly associates.

  • Schedule manpower for the shift

  • Support all lean initiatives through participation in focused area improvement activities to create a continuous improvement culture with all production workers

  • Complete administrative paperwork (various reports for safety, HR, payroll, attendance, vacation, etc.)

  • Participate in a lean focus effort (LFE) and problem-solving activities

  • Lead or assist in projects to improve safety, quality, and/or cost metrics.

  • Work in a cross functional environment with other departments to maintain equipment, meet schedules and to accomplish department goals.

  • Monitor and measure key indicators of department performance.

  • Communicate effectively with associates, peers and division leadership to effectively manage the department.

  • Demonstrate Whirlpool Values and a Spirit of Winning.

  • Manage employee issue resolution activities within your department

  • Engage in honest, open and factual communications in a professional manner

  • Be proficient with key computer programs such as Word, Excel, Google, SAP, KRONOS, and other Whirlpool software.

  • Move throughout various departments throughout Greenville Operations.

  • resolve conflict in a respectful, confidential manner

  • plan, organize and prioritize tasks as well as set expectations for the leaders that are reporting to you.

  • Lead cross functional activities such as Lean/ Quality Kaizens, Safety investigations, and total productive maintenance (TPM) activities.¬

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 plus years' experience in managing employees in a manufacturing environment

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Must be highly motivated, with excellent organizational skills and leadership behaviors.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing assembly operations desired and ability to learn company philosophy, division policies and procedures.

  • Good communication skills, verbal and written are essential.

  • Use and understand applications of various communication and computer technologies; Word, Excel experience, Google, KRONOS, SAP

  • Ability to read, write, make oral presentations and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent planning and conflict resolution skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
