Senior Manager, Supply & Logistics

  Day to Day:   The Senior Manager Global Supply Chain position has a large scope of responsibility within the KitchenAid Portables Group. These responsibilities include management and oversight of the 650,000 square feet Factory Distribution Center (FDC), OEM product planning for both inbound and outbound and the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the KitchenAid Portables Group.   The successful candidate is expected to lead the KitchenAid Portables transportation organization and to develop and execute the inbound and outbound transportation strategy globally. This will be accomplished through strong thought leadership in transportation operations and procurement; fully understanding the dynamics and trends of the transportation industry and effectively applying actions and countermeasures to address those dynamics.   What You Will Do:   Develop and mentor a high performance organization that strives for high levels of quality and service. Staff level position that must outstanding Leadership abilities and be able to contribute to many operational discussions outside of logistics. Support new business and channel growth by working closely with KitchenAid Portables team to ensure service levels, capability and capacity are in place. Execute innovative solutions to opportunities as they develop. Manage all transportation inbound and outbound including small pack/parcel, LTL and full truck load. Develop and implement long and short term best cost strategic business plans that meet trade partner and distributor requirements worldwide. Includes systems and procedures that drive continuous improvement in fulfillment, compliance, productivity and working capital through systems, processes and people. Oversee and drive improvement in overall KitchenAid Portables Supply Chain financials. Includes development of metrics and tracking documents, regular reviews and updates on status of actions items and results. Develop and implement process improvements to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process to improve demand planning process. Accountability for approximately three direct reports and the warehouse staff. Great understanding of the entire supply chain across the globe and the ability to continually implement improvements to allow for best cost, improved quality, and reduced lead-times.   What You Need to Succeed:   Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, IE, or Business (MBA preferred) 5 - 10 years experience in logistics and warehousing with a manufacturer, retailer or 3rd party logistics company. Proven ability to build teams and coalitions to accomplish cross-functional goals. Strong leadership with core values matching Whirlpool's values Strong communications skills. Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization. Demonstrated track record of identifying and implementing best in class logistics solutions. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) Proven financial skills. Ability to conduct trade off analysis and make decisions concerning multiple courses of action. Must be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with limited supervision. Experience with implementing lean concepts and using six sigma tools. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety and Compliance Regulations. Knowledge of Food Safety Modernization Act regulations. Must be excellent with problem resolution to deliver what's best for the entire business. Demonstrate the ability to understand capacities and capabilities of the supply chain and maintain a system that stays ahead of customer demand. Preferred Experience: Previous logistics, supply chain and warehouse automation experience Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment Experience with network design and modeling (Llamasoft or similar) Decisive, and able to make sound decisions in a sometimes ambiguous environment Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and Computer Animated Design Tools Working knowledge of SAP, Manhattan and/or Bastian This position requires execution of Whirlpool's Non-Disclosure and Non-Competition Agreement.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
